The Specialty Food Festival reinforces Dubai’s position as a gourmet hub

United Arab Emirates – Dubai, October 25, 2023: Getting readyDubai World Trade Center to host the 12th edition of the Specialty Food Festival, the only trade fair dedicated to fine foods in the Middle East and North Africa. The festival , which will be held from November 7 to 9, 2023, provides buyers from the region’s markets with a platform to communicate, meeting the needs of the hospitality sectors, institutions, and buyers specializing in distinguished products in the Middle East. It also gives visitors the opportunity to learn about the latest news and new trends in the specialized food industry.

The Specialty Food Festival brings together sector leaders and decision-makers in the retail, hospitality, food service, manufacturing, import/export and wholesale sectors, and addresses opportunities and challenges across these sectors, focusing on six core themes: traditional and gourmet foods, organic and sustainable foods, and health . luxury, plant-based foods, foodservice, and specialty beverages.

During the Specialty Food Festival, the “Top Table” event will present more than 40 interactive workshops for attendees, with the participation of 20 chefs, through which they will reflect the culinary identity of the region, as the chefs will showcase the most important innovations and developments in the field of cooking. Many young chefs have demonstrated their effective influence on the regional and global culinary scene, and in appreciation of their efforts in this field, the program will allow… YouthX gives a group of young chefs the opportunity to take part in the “Young Chef” challenge, where they can showcase their culinary skills in a friendly, competitive atmosphere. The competition targets young chefs from four leading hotels in the region. 

This competition comes within the framework of the competition implemented by the International Center for Culinary Arts “ICCA” partner YouthX during this month, with the participation of ten teams, during which four teams from four leading hotels in the region qualified for the final stage at the regional level, which will be held on the second day of the Gulfood exhibition activities, in the Top Table event, and the four teams include the team of the “Atlantis The Palm Oceano” hotel. Led by Chef Gregoire, the Jumeirah Mina A Salam team led by Chef Kevin, the Kempinski Palm Jumeirah Dubai team, and the SLS Dubai team, the winning teams will qualify for the international finals stage that will be held within the Gulfood exhibition activities next February.
