The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Departments in Dubai recognized today, Wednesday morning, the strategic partners, sponsors and organizing committees of the Ramadan Dubai Initiative 1444 AH – 2023 AD.
In the presence of H.E. Dr. Hamad Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, and H.E. Major General Ahmed Rafi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administration Affairs at the Dubai Police General Headquarters, executive directors of the department, and some officials of government authorities and departments participating in Ramadan Dubai events.
These statements were made during the closing ceremony of the Ramadan Dubai Initiative – held at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel in Dubai. The closing ceremony began with Holy Quran recitation, then a video on the achievements of Ramadan Dubai Initiative during the holy month that consist of participation of over 800 people in Dubai Iftar in an experience that promotes coexistence in the community, 200 employees and competitions of the Government of Dubai, 500,000 dirhams of charity races for kids “Spartan”, 200 teachers and schools in recognition of their role, 100 young people from the world at one table, 11 plastic artists to spread the culture of charitable works, 12 teams at Dubai Cup, 14 million iftar meal during the holy month, 640,000 worshipers in tarawih prayers and Dubai readers event, and elite readers event.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Departments in Dubai, organized Ramadan Dubai events under the slogan (Ramadan Dubai with Whom we Care About) and under the sponsorship of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, to spread the values of brotherhood, and promote and disseminate the spirit of peaceful coexistence and unity among nationals and residents from foreign communities, especially as Dubai embraces more than 200 nationalities living therein in complete harmony, without distinction between race, colour or religion.
H.E. Dr. Hamad Sheikh Ahmed Al-Shaibani, confirmed in his speech that Ramadan Dubai is a translation of the vision of the wise leadership to advance the city of Dubai in all fields, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, and with whom we care about and among the various communities that live on its land, and he congratulated those in charge of the initiative for the success of the events, and on behalf of everyone who has been affiliated with this great event since its inception, to conclude this year’s efforts with these distinct partnerships, which have been and continue to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
Al-Shaibani concluded by saying that the United Arab Emirates, with all its components, was able to attract the world at the local, regional and global levels. Greetings to all the bodies, institutions and sponsors of this event, hoping that these are not partnerships as much as they are contributions and moral support that we are proud of, pointing out that this coexistence, harmony and tolerance on this earth is the consequences of what the founding fathers raised in us, and an approach rooted in the traditions of the great people of the UAE.
He continued: “We must move forward with building, growing and giving in the UAE, which has been able to provide a lot under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai, and their brothers, Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, Rulers of the Emirates and Crown Princes.
Al-Shaibani thanked all the teams involved in distributing iftar meals in all locations of the Emirate of Dubai, as well as the authorities that have provided all support to this great event.
He also thanked all the participants, sponsors and supporters of the event and prayed to Allah to perpetuate the blessing of security, safety, pride and dignity in the United Arab Emirates leadership, land and people.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Hamad Al-Shibani, Director General of the Department and Executive Directors of the Department (Strategic Partners List) which included the Government Media Office, Dubai Expo City, Dubai Digital Authority, Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Holding Communities Management, Dubai Sports Council, Union Coop, National Trading and Developing Enterprises, Tadawi Specialized Hospital, Adam Vital Specialized Hospital, and among the sponsors Al-Wadq Trading and Index Holding. The most participating government authorities and departments in the “Memorizing Employee Competition” that was held during the holy month were honored at the level of Dubai government employees, including the Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai, General Command of Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the male and female employees winners at the competition of memorizing the Holy Qur’an of all branches, as well as he honored the organizing and arbitration committees of the competition.
All the artists participating in the (The Art of Clothing Donation Box) event were also honored to spread the culture of charitable work in Expo Dubai, and a special honor to the working teams and the organizing committee of the department that managed the Ramadan Dubai initiative.
