- Naser Al-Rahma states: “Dubai becomes the City of World Racket Sports”
Jaguars Team has won the title of the 1st edition of the World Padel League, the first ever of its kind which is held in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council and the Department of Economy & Tourism in Dubai.

Jaguars presented distinctive performance in the final match & beat Panthers counterpart 3 – 1. The winner was honored the Championship’s Cup alongside money prize of Dhs 550 thousand by H.E. Naser Aman Al-Rahma, the Assistant Secretary General of DSC / Mr. Rajesh Banaga, Chairman of the World Paddle League / Mr. Amit Sharma, Co-Founder of the event, while Panthers Team was awarded the 2nd place’s Cup & Dhs 275 by Mr. Saeed Al-Marri, the Secretary General of the UAE Padel Association / Championship’s Founders.
The final match was held in the presence of Mr. Nasr Al Neyadi, President of the Emirates Air Sports Federation / Mr. Abdullah Hamad bin Souqat, the Member of UAE Padel Association / huge numbers of fans who enjoyed the wonderful conclusion of the Championship, which was organized with participation of 24 of the world’s top ranked male and female stars, along with 4 players of our national team.
Jaguars Team comprised Abdullah Abdulaziz Abdullah, along with Alekhandra Salazar & Gemma Treay, who are ranked third in the world, Carlos Daniel Guterres the 5th world ranked, Franco Stobachuk the 6th world ranked, Jeronimo González the 13th world ranked and Carolina Navarro who comes in the 47th rank.
The Championship was a unique opportunity for the padel fans in UAE to enjoy watching players of top world ranks who competed according to the competition’s regulations. The event provided opportunities for our national team’s players to acquire additional & distinctive experiences which contribute to boost their technical levels & make them competent enough to gain further titles.
H.E. Naser Aman Al-Rahma congratulated the champion and confirmed that all participants in this Championship are winners, referring that the Championship has essentially been launched from Dubai and it will contribute to develop the padel sport in UAE and the entire world through organizing of top level competitions with participation of our national team stars, alongside prominent group of male & female stars from all over the world.
He stated: “The Championship has been launched from Dubai and it was attended by huge numbers of padel fans. Participants were classified into four teams, comprised elite of top world players alongside four stars from our national team who have acquired new experiences which will enhance their technical levels and enable them to win new titles for the UAE, following their winning of the titles of the 1st Gulf Championship and Nad Al-Shiba International Championship. The UAE is expected to attain new achievements in this sport, thanks to the remarkable efforts of the UAE Padel Association, chaired by Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al-Al-Maktoum”.

H.E. Naser Al-Rahma added: “Dubai has become the city of racket sport, not only in the UAE but in the entire globe. Several world championships & top competitions were organized in this particular sport. In 2022, Dubai hosted the biggest & the most successful World Padel Championship and today we are concluding the World Padel League. The DP World Championship is held at various countries of the world, while the Championship’s finals & honoring of the Champion are taking place in the Emirate of Dubai in Nov. of each year. Dubai also hosted great world championships in cricket, polo, badminton, table tennis and tennis, whether in the Dubai Duty Free Championships or the World Tennis League, launched from Dubai to the world in the year 2022 and will be an upcoming annual event. Several world squash championships were organized in a distinctive court, constructed next to Burj Khalifa. Many other tournaments were held in Dubai with participation of top world ranked stars who enjoyed the warm hosting & nice weather of the city, and they were also welcomed by the huge sports fans of more than 200 nationalities, who reside in Dubai. Dubai has therefore deserved to be the world city of racket sports”.
