Hamdan Sports Complex has hosted the training camp for the juniors & youth team of the Mainz Diving Club of Germany, as part of the Club’s preparations for the European & international championships during upcoming sports season.
The Mainz Club’s camp was held with participation of 16 athletes of both genders from the age of 12 to 18 years old, in addition to the team’s trainers & technical bodies. The team held one–week trainings on various kinds of diving alongside physical exercises at three different periods throughout the day. The German team was keen to visit the most famous tourist & natural landmarks in Dubai and to enjoy its wonderful weather & spectacular architectural engineering.
The team’s members expressed extreme pleasure toward their visit to Dubai & arranging of a remarkable camp at Hamdan Sports Complex, where ideal atmospheres are provided for trainings.
The team’s Supervisor confirmed that they have chosen Dubai to organize this camp because of its several privileges & abilities to fulfill all visitors’ requirements, referring that the Emirate has various distinctive sports facilities which are constructed as per the top international standards, and it has therefore become a favorite destination for training camps. Dubai visitors enjoy flexible procedures in traveling & residence.
He stated: “We have organized a successful training camp where our athletes learned new techniques and improved their technical skills in this splendid air-conditioned Complex. In fact, we have gained a lot of benefits from the high quality & distinctive design of the Complex, which provides many jumping and diving platforms of different levels & heights”.
Hamdan Sports Complex has become a favorite destination for several national teams & Olympic champions of multi-nationalities who held trainings & arranged successful camps at the Complex during the last periods; as resultof which several champions have won Olympic medals; among them are three winners of golden medals & five winners of silver medals; top of whom are the South Africa’s swimmer Chad Lee Chloe / the Japanese female swimmer Rey Canto / the badminton champion of Denmark Victor Akelsen, besides other athletes who have won nine golden medals, three silver medals & bronze medal in international championships; top of them are: the French diving star Gary Hunt / Russian rhythmic swimming star Anastasia Akhipovskaya and many other stars.
The Complex attracts tens of thousands of athletes of multi-nationalities, among whom are Olympic champions & world stars from all over the world.
Hamdan Sports Complex hosts 28 sports activities; these are: swimming, rhythmic swimming, water polo, free-diving, underwater hockey, underwater rugby, fencing, gymnastic, diving, karting, cycling, running, badminton, duathlon, aquathlon, triathlon, basketball, volleyball, Kushti wrestling, karate, fitness, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, tennis, boxing, weightlifting & table tennis.
