The Department of Islamic Affairs and charitable Activities in Dubai launched on
Wednesday morning the new website of the department in a new suit, taking into account
the application of 7-star standards in the development of websites.
This came during the Department’s celebration of the launch of the website at its main
headquarters in Al Mamzar in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hamad Sheikh Ahmed Al
Shaibani, Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and charitable Activities in
Dubai, Buti Abdullah Al jumairi, executive director of the institutional support sector,
Mohammed Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of the mosque Affairs Sector, Dr.
Hamda Ahmed Al Muhairi, executive director of the Islamic Affairs Sector (Acting ) and a
number of leaders, managers and consultants at the department level.
His Excellency Dr. Hamad Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General of the Department
of Islamic Affairs and charitable Activities in Dubai, said that the government of Dubai is
working in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God
protect him, aimed at consolidating the foundations of happiness in society, as the state
has established an advanced model in government work, centered on achieving human
happiness through enhancing all areas of government work and accelerating its pace, and
from this point of view, the Department of Islamic Affairs and charitable Activities has
adopted a methodology to develop and improve all services, and plan for the future
according to the approach of excellence and leadership to reach new levels of excellence
and leadership, and excellence in the development of government work, including Launch
of the Department’s website in a new state .
Sheikha Sultan Al Marri, director of communication and marketing department, sponsor
of the website launch Project, said that the most important features of the new website
are taking into account the application of 7-star standards in website development,
applying the W3C global web standards, and paying attention to the standards of people
of determination, in order to facilitate the customer (user) experience of the site and
access to the services of the department, in addition to displaying the mechanism of the
organizational structure of the Department on the site in a dynamic way that helps the
browser to identify the employees of the sectors of the department, and the Site Map has
been redesigned to facilitate visitors ‘ access to information and news of the department
in the easiest way.
For his part, Mohammed Bassam Meri, director of projects at the department, explained
that the new site allows visitors to navigate the content of the site in an optimal way,
especially taking into account people of determination, as the best international
mechanisms have been provided for people of determination, including “font size control
- stop animation – text spacing – changing the colors of the site and a feature for dyslexia
“.Pointing out, the Department’s service Cards are designed in a flexible and clear way
that facilitates the customer to access the service card linked in the Department’s services
portal(CRM) in the least steps, which facilitates the customer’s experience in accessing the
Department’s services, and provides a comprehensive and accurate understanding of the
requirements and behavior of the trip of customers and web browsers.
