The Desert Super League (DSL), a vital part of the amateur cricket ecosystem for the past 12 years, continues to provide a platform for players at various skill levels.

Associated with 126 teams across four divisions—Professional, Semi-Professional, Amateur, and Social—the league has become a cornerstone for nurturing local talent. Founded by Omar Hayat, a cricket enthusiast with a deep passion for the sport, DSL has grown into UAE’s largest cricket league, strengthening the cricket community in the region. The league attracts players from a wide range of nationalities, including those from South Asian countries and prominent cricket-playing nations like Australia, England, and South Africa, showcasing the diverse and international appeal.

On 14th September 2024, the opening ceremony and trophy unveiling for the new season will take place at the Pakistan Association in Dubai. The event will feature former Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Azhar Ali as the chief guest, adding prestige to the occasion. His presence, along with the excitement of the participants, will set the stage for another successful season of DSL, bringing together teams and players to celebrate the spirit of the game across various cultures and backgrounds.
